Kyzilorda Power Plant in Kazakhstan
Project overview: Located in Jambor Oblast, Kazakhstan, it is Kazakhstan's first large-scale phosphate fertilizer comprehensive production project invested by foreign investors. The sulfuric acid plant is a supporting project with a designed production capacity of 800,000 tons. Project overview: The project is led by Nurlebek Narebayev, Governor of Kyzylorda Oblast, and jointly promoted with the Ministry of Energy of Kazakhstan. Its total construction investment reaches 215 billion tenge (about 3.35 billion RMB). It is expected to be put into use in 2025, when it will have a power generation capacity of 240 MW. This modern power generation facility will greatly alleviate the energy shortage problem in Kyzyl Horda Region.
